The reason why I put day 3 & 4 together is because I didn't do much on day three. I went out and bought cleaning stuff and household stuff for my new place.
The night of Day 3, I phoned Rogers in hopes of getting internet, but they said the main account holder for the location is my landlord, so I have to get her permission to open an account for myself. I e-mailed her, and WOAH she replied within 10 minutes. My landlord seems really nice and on top of things. *thumbs up* I phoned Rogers again and they said they'll come hook up the internet tomorrow(which is Day four)
So on to Day four. I went to Ikea and grabbed all the stuff that we're going to buy and got them to deliver it on Monday. My bed, coffee table, and sofa bed (and a bit of other stuff). Total was $888. So expensive D:... But it was still cheaper than renting furniture them for $1,200. While I was at Ikea, the person from Rogers kept on phoning me asking me where I was. They said yesterday that they'll be there from 5~8, but they've been phoning me since 3pm or something. Yea.. BUT WOO I GOT INTERNET!!! =D
After Ikea, I went back to my new place and cleaned everything. Floor, Washroom, Kitchen... and it was tiring. The kitchen was so dirty and crap, but now it's clean ;D. Took my mom and I around 2~3 hours. Phew. Then we went back to my sister's place.

Day 2 of Moving
So yup, I went to Ikea today and picked out furniture -- window shopping yet again. My bed is going to look like this. The bed frame, not the mattress part. The mattress is going to be higher than the picture, but that's the general look of my new bed. There are four drawers underneath for my clothing or other stuff. That'll save me the trouble to buy an organizer for my clothes. Good stuff.
I also decided to go with a coffee table, which is not on the website. It's light brown colour wood, nothing special about it... I basically got it because it was cheap and stuff. That's going to be my working desk, too. Because...well I don't study, so I won't need a study desk, ever. No point buying a proper desk for me when I won't even use it right? ;D!
My mom is shipping the TV and TV rack from Vancouver, so I don't need to worry about those, and if you been to my Vancouver house before, you know what they look like. The colour matches the coffee table, too! =D
As for sofa, we both think that I don't need one because we can just sit on the ground with paddings or something. That is until I realise that I need a sofa to lay on when I play my video game, so I changed my mind. Sofas are expensive stuff, so we ended up buying a cheap sofa bed, which is comfortable, but not THAT good looking. Comfort first though, right? ;D You can see the picture of sofa bed here. I know the colour is very white, but it's just a simple double size mattress, so I can buy a cheap bed sheet to make it colourful. It'll work out somehow. And since it's a sofa bed, anyone who needs to sleepover can just sleep on the sofa bed!!
I am going back there on Saturday or Sunday to clean up for the move on Monday. That's when everything's gonna be shipping to the place. I'll update more about it later.

Sorry for not posting for the past two(?) weeks, I've been busy with finals, moving, and this other thing which I will talk about later.
Today I finally decided to overcome my laziness(mostly because Jinglin's coming to help me) and move my crap over to my new place. Together we carried three gigantic sized suitcases from my residence to my new place. We have to walk 5~10 minutes to the subway, carry them up and down the stairs, on and off the subway, then walk another 10 minutes to my new place. We unloaded the things in my suitcase and lugged them back to my residence to put more stuff in. We had to do it twice. My arms totally died. Each suitcase is at least 35kg, heaviest things I've carried since working at McDonald. Seriously.
Anyways, after Jinglin left, I stayed there for a bit more to organize(and clean) stuff, which is kind of hard because all i have is a shelf -- no other furniture. I took pictures of it, but I am kind of lazy to post it right now, so I'll upload them later. After all the hard work, I was going to take a shower, but I found out there was no shower curtains. LOL I had to sit in my bathtub and shower carefully hoping that no water gets out... at least not too much.

Back into the old days.
Wooah? What's this? Yes, that's right! Fifth generation of pokemon has been announced. They are titled Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. The title will mislead people thinking that the game would be in black and white, which is a possibility, but I doubt it. With so many competitors, it would be unwise to launch a brand new game in black and white; especially when it's Pokemon, such a popular game. It's too risky, not a good business practice.
Zoroa and Zoroark were pretty nice pokemon, so I can't wait to see some more pokemon that get revealed.
So far, I like everything about the fifth generation. I like the concept of simple and easy. Black and White fits right into that category. I just hope the Pokemon Company will continue to surprise me instead of disappoint me! ;D

I have to say, it's quite rare for me to write entries like this. I am going to be quite emotional in this blog. It's a rare sight, kind of like seeing a shiny pokemon.
Music's a big part of my life, and recently I found the song 一個像夏天 一個像秋天 in my iTunes. An English translation would be One is like summer, one is like fall. The title of the song is about how two really different things can actually suit each other quite well. Because they are so different, they cover each other's weakness. This song is quite old, and I never really paid a lot of attention to this song, but now I have. Like I've said, I dug out this song again after a few years, and looked at its lyrics; it really made me appreciate my friends even more than I already do.
This song is about how friends are so important. Sure, some will say family is more important, but I think you need both to be complete. There are some things where you can only tell your family, but there are other things where it's the other way around -- we really need friends to survive in this world. I know I wouldn't survive. I know I am pretty independent, but it's because I know if I ever need something, I can always count on my friends to break my fall.
The first verse goes like this 第一次看你不太順眼、誰知道後來關係那麼密切。我們一個像夏天、一個像秋天。卻總能把冬天變成春天. Translation would be I didn't like you very much when I first saw you, but who knew that we would become so close. We were like summer and fall, but we can always make Winter Spring again. This is very true for me; I have friends that didn't like me very much at first, but we still bonded in the end. I'm really happy.
There is one line that goes like this 如果不是你、我不會相信、朋友比情人還死心踏地. In English is If it's not you, I won't believe that friends are more loyal than lovers. There are countless cases where this had happened for me as I haven't dated in my life, but I can still feel the warmth from my friends overwhelming the sadness in my heart. Thank you.
Another beautiful line is 你了解我所有得意的東西、才常潑我冷水、怕我忘形. It's saying how you understand all the things I get overconfident about, and you put me down just to prevent me from embarrassing myself. It brings up a good point about relationship. Friendship is not friendship if all you're saying is the good part about your friend; that's really fake. Don't give me the bullshit "I like everything about her/him". That's not possible. If you're human, you're bound to find something you don't like about another human being, and it's fine to do that. That's all part of being human, BUT if you truly care about your friend, you would tell your friend the things you don't like about her/him, so the dislike wouldn't evolve into hatred or even further. A relationship built from compliments are fake, fake, fake. After that said, I am sorry if I ever hurt your feeling. I really do care about my friends, but sometimes my jokes are a bit too heavy to others.
One of my favourite line is from the song is 遇見一個人然後生命全改變. It means Life changes after meeting one person. People would think it's the other half, but this line can also work for a friend. In fact, I think it's better when it's describing a friend. How did you two get together? Because you two were friends. It's your other half when she/he was still a friend that changed your life. People think I'm very stubborn, but I always have my ears open for new ways of thinking. The thing is that I just didn't hear anything that would make me want to change my way of thinking, and therefore, it just seems like I am stubborn. What I didn't realise until I looked at this lyrics is that their words do change the way I think -- I may not change right away, but I do change the way I think. Big or Small. So everyone I met changes my life in one way or another, for better or worse. Even if someone makes me go downhill, I wouldn't blame them, it's just all part of life. Even if I sunk too low, I'm sure my friends would just pull me right back up.
Especially right now, I am like poor beyond imagine. Thanks to all my friends who are paying things for me when we hang out. Once I find a job, I will definitely repay this favour. And also, when I said I am moving, you have no idea how many people offered to help me move, or help me find a place. It really surprised me. I don't think I can ever repay this debt of friendship. Thank you for trusting me so much.
Since I'm being all emotional and all, I'd like to take this time to thank some certain individuals.

Where do you come from?
One night long long ago (maybe a month), Lisa and I spent the night nerding. No, we were not studying for some test we have. No, we were not doing a project. Yes, we were having an intense research/discussion about English. To be more precise, it's British English vs Canadian English vs American English. Before I go any further, I am going to say that I am going to bold the Canadian way of spelling the word and have the other way beside it (might be UK or might be USA, depends on the word). Note that I may be missing a lot.
It all started with me being angry at the mark I got on one of the assignment. They deducted my mark because I spelt/spelled parameter parametre. I always it's just another er and re thing, but apparently... there are exceptions. Should've known. English is almost the most complicated language ever created in the history of mankind. Every rule only apply to half of the words while the other half are exceptions. Seriously... Well, that's the event that got this night started. We went on google and started searching for "British American spelling". At least something good came out of this tragic event... totally made us realise/realize some of the differences between cultures. Truly amazing.
I don't know how else to introduce the other difference because there are some word that I'll never use in my blog, so I'm just going to come up with sentences.... enjoy. LOL
1. One day, Lisa bought Beatle's CD disc/disk, and she tried to rip it onto her harddisc/harddisk... but she got too excited and had diarrhea/diarrhoea.
British spell diarrhea diarrhoea... really? I've never seen that before.
2. I am pretty skeptical/sceptical about the British's way of spelling flutist/flautist... it's just too weird.
According to the website, Canadian spell sceptical both ways, and surprisingly sceptical is more common than skeptical.
3. Please beware of pedophiles/paedophile because most of them are quite skillful/skilful at what they're doing.
Same thing happened with skilful the way it happened to sceptical. Quite shocking actually.
Yea, I think three sentences should be sufficient. Just one last thing before I move on. According to the same website, the abbreviation for Doctor is Dr. right? Not if you're British! The reasoning on the website says "A contracted form of a word, ending with the same letter as the full form, is not followed by a full stop", so I am assuming it's the same for Ms., Mr., etc. I am Canadian though, so I shall spell it with a period at the end ;D!
So after the spelling difference, we moved on to speech difference. It all started with me being angry at the mark I got on one of the assignment. They deducted my mark because I spelt/spelled parameter parametre. I always it's just another er and re thing, but apparently... there are exceptions. Should've known. English is almost the most complicated language ever created in the history of mankind. Every rule only apply to half of the words while the other half are exceptions. Seriously... Well, that's the event that got this night started. We went on google and started searching for "British American spelling". At least something good came out of this tragic event... totally made us realise/realize some of the differences between cultures. Truly amazing.
I don't know how else to introduce the other difference because there are some word that I'll never use in my blog, so I'm just going to come up with sentences.... enjoy. LOL
1. One day, Lisa bought Beatle's CD disc/disk, and she tried to rip it onto her harddisc/harddisk... but she got too excited and had diarrhea/diarrhoea.
British spell diarrhea diarrhoea... really? I've never seen that before.
2. I am pretty skeptical/sceptical about the British's way of spelling flutist/flautist... it's just too weird.
According to the website, Canadian spell sceptical both ways, and surprisingly sceptical is more common than skeptical.
3. Please beware of pedophiles/paedophile because most of them are quite skillful/skilful at what they're doing.
Same thing happened with skilful the way it happened to sceptical. Quite shocking actually.
Yea, I think three sentences should be sufficient. Just one last thing before I move on. According to the same website, the abbreviation for Doctor is Dr. right? Not if you're British! The reasoning on the website says "A contracted form of a word, ending with the same letter as the full form, is not followed by a full stop", so I am assuming it's the same for Ms., Mr., etc. I am Canadian though, so I shall spell it with a period at the end ;D!

An island of photographers.
April 2, 2010. Sunny then cloudy. Hot then cold then warm.
It all began long ago, (a week?) when Lisa asked me if I want to goJinglin take artsy pictures with Shutterbugs, the photography club in UofT. I really like artsy stuff, so obviously I said yes. Fast forward to the day before the big day, I confirmed with Lisa about the time and place of the meeting place... because it's smart to do that. She said to be at Union Station at 12. Moving on to the big day...
I like to be early and stuff, so I got there at 11:50am even though I know Lisa and Kristie are usually late. Little do I know... they came alone, not with Shutterbugs... very late, too. I basically stood there for a good 30 minutes or so. The subway ticket checking lady kept staring at me weirdly; she probably thought I was waiting for the right time to commit a crime or something. That wasn't cool at all... but finally, at around 12:30 they showed up.party time!! Oh, another thing I found funny was how a lot of people, and when I say a lot... I mean over 10, tried to exit the station through the spinning door even though it says very clearly 'No Exit'.
So yes, 12:30, they arrived. I could start ranting about why people shouldn't be late, but I won't right now (or this post will never end). We didn't know where the Shutterbugs group were, so we did the one thing any lost people would do. Phone. Well, after the phone call with Jinglin... we got one landmark, McDonalds. We climbed over manyhills stairs, walked through a dangerous tunnel underground pathway, and fought against the barbarians people on the streets. Finally, there it was, THE McDonalds *insert dramatic music*, but they were no where to be found. Yea, they moved elsewhere. Fail. Then Jinglin came and picked us up and finally we met up... speeding up the story...
I have to say, it was pretty awkward at first because I didn't know anyone from Shutterbugs besides Jinglin, Fiona, Anita, Lisa and Kristie. I met Fiona and Anita once before that day, during Nuit Blanche (please do excuse my French if I spelt it wrong). Maybe it would be better if it was an gathering of some sort instead of a club outing because I am not even in the club. I guess I was afraid that people will think about stuff like 'why is he here'... I'm pretty sure at least one person thought that actually. I could sense it. Yes, I'm magical. Actually, no I am not, it's just human nature to think about things like that, but that's another story.
Well anyways, we set out for the ferry terminal where we'll hijack ride a boat to Wards Island. It was a 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal. Yea, you can see from the picture that the line's pretty long (totally cut Andy's head in half, too). 30 minutes later, we got the ticket, and guess what? More waiting, for the ferry.
Going off topic for a bit, I plan to make a rant about the Toronto Ferry on a separate post, so I'm just going to skip the ferry part to keep this already long blog shorter.... by a bit.
So magically, we're on Wards Island!!Told you I have magical powers... We walked around the island and stuff. While the pros are taking pictures, I try to make friends (totally dramatizing the situation XD) But omg, everyone has their expensive pro cameras that cost 4 digits, and all I have is a digital camera. *sad face* It's okay though, I'll just stick with making videos... while slowly learning the ways of still motion. Either way, the island was a good experience. It was my first time on the island, and I learned a few tricks from watching the pros in action. I also took some pictures, but of course it's nothing compare to who I was with.

That's that for the island. And because I don't want to write anything about the ferry here... We magically appear at Habour Front at the blink of the eye. I'm just skip the part about what we talked about since it's mostly you have to be in the moment kind of talks. I do have one word Angela, Louise and Andy (if they read this at all XD) though... Pigeon.
Side tracking for a bit. Yes, I noticed that I am skipping a lot of details, but this post is getting way too long, and it's 5am.
So magically we're at restaurant because time-skip (don't ask). Kristie, Lisa, Angela, Andy, Peter, Shane, and Simone sat around me, so it was a good chance to get to know them =]. They were all cool people, real glad to have met them. I could go and list out why I like them, but look at the length of the post already, so I'm just going to move on to the food.
It was all you can eat, so people tend to order too much. Andy and I were saving stomach (though I didn't really stop eating... lol) just in case we need to clean any leftovers. The food was okay, all you can eat quality, which is not THAT good... just edible. Yes, I have a very high standard when it comes to... everything in life actually -- especially friends and food though. Their dessert was lower than all you can eat standards. Egg pudding was so watered down, and the mango jelly is powdered. And they didn't give me all the mango ice cream that I ordered D:!!! On top of that, they didn't specify at the beginning that there was a one hour ordering time. Their service was good at first, but it went downhill... I was pretty disappointed. Well anyways, it was still fun. =]
On the way back, I get to talk to Andy a bit more, and I found out he's also from Taiwan!! =D!! Yay Taiwan people unite!! He says he also like karaoke, so I'll definitely invite him the next time I plan a karaoke (which is when I have $$...) =]
That's basically it for the island trip with Shutterbugs. It was awesome. Glad I went, even though I was hesitated because of all the strangers at first. =]
PS: Woah, look at how long the post is... and I didn't even go into full details. Oh the power of going off topic.
Can't wait to see the new friends again, someday =]

Analyzing Life - (im)possible??
So if read/skim through my last post (which was posted like 10 minutes ago), you should know what this post is going to be about. EVEN IF you didn't, the title should be enough clue. Let's just get to the point, shall we?
One more thing before I get started: This is just my opinion, feel free to agree/disagree with me. Start a debate, whatever. It's your life.
Like I've said Life's complicated, so it's better to separate them into subjects, but do keep in mind that they all connect somehow.
First I want to talk about generalizing life. Everybody does this. Everyone categorizes 'similar' things together. Example of those would be classifying books by genre, alphabet, author, etc. It works for inanimate objects like books because they don't change and grow; they also don't think for themselves. When it comes to living things, it's a whole different story. Scientists classify animals by their body structure, so it's still reasonable. Vertebrates, invertebrates, two legged, four legged, birds, worms, mammals, etc. I don't really have really have a complaint for that because they are all facts. Yes, animals evolve and stuff, but they won't change THAT much each generation. Significant changes to body structure won't come for a good hundred or so generations, if any at all. I'm okay with all the above categorizing. The one I am really annoyed with is how people... I guess another word for it is stereotype.
One simple is example is how people discriminate against so called 'races'. White, Black, Yellow, Brown, Purple, Rainbow, Whatever. I don't care. We're all human, and sorry to say, but that's one race, not ten thousand. So what if his skin colour is white? Does that mean he's white and eat McDonalds every day? Does that mean he's bad at math? Does that mean he fits into all the so called 'white stereotypes'? The first step is to stop stereotyping people. Just because you don't stereotype, doesn't mean you don't group similar people together.
People group similar personalities together. Example would be that people often classify me as 'lazy', which I can't entirely disagree. Pretend bob, an imaginary friend, is 'lazy', then people will tend to group bob and me together, and therefore, we're 'alike'. I completely disagree though. I am lazy about certain things, and he's lazy about certain things. Sure there might be overlaps, but the level of laziness will still differ. 'Lazy' just happens to be the example I am using, but this applies to all the personalities and traits. And that's why it's impossible to find a person who thinks and acts like me; therefore, people shouldn't say things like "He's a lot like you" because no, he's not like me. We're different individuals. So next time if you want to group people together, put everyone in their own category. I wish I could explain more, but feeling is something that can't be expressed in words...
An example of that would be 'love' and 'hate'. When you say you 'love' something, do you ACTUALLY love it 100%? I doubt it. There are probably some other feeling mixed in your 'love' -- it's not pure love. I am not saying those other feeling have to be a bad thing; I'm just saying that it's not pure. You probably used the word love because out of all the feelings you feel towards the thing you're describing, 'love' has the highest percentage. A way to fix this? Not really. You can't say stuff like "I 40% Love you, 10% thinks you're weird, 10% thinks you're lazy, 2% annoyed at you, and the rest think you're pretty." You're not going to get anyone that way. That's why artists are so powerful; they express people feelings in ways we can never express in words. It doesn't matter if it's through a movie, poem, song, photo, drawing... etc. They are all tools that we use to express how we feel about one thing. It's not just for looks.

Let me go off topic for a bit. Not as many people appreciates artsy movies as we used to. A lot of people rather watch action movies instead of thought provoking movies. I mean, just look at all the recent 'hit movies'. Avatar, Transformers, 2012... need I list more? I don't mean people shouldn't watch them at all... it's just that people seem to enjoy those more than they should. Action movies requires minimal brain work, so it's good for when people want to relax... You know what I mean... I hope.

This post is not a what I did what on which day kind of blog. It's just a post about anything mostly. It's my spam post just like all my other posts.

It's a form of stress, but not the stress that most people experience. My stress is not from school work, relationship, family... or anything of the sort. It's more of a stress that there are so many things I need to think about and remember, and I am afraid that I am going to forget one of them. You know... "Oh No, what if I forget" kind of stress... Yea, life's complicated like that.

If you looked at my album, you should know what I've ordered. That burger was pretty good, and it was really filling. The baked potato was really good, too. The cheese they used for the burger and baked potato just look kind of weird... but it's good though. XD
After the main meal (and the murder scene), my sister offered to pay for everyone's drink/dessert. It's a restaurant, so well.. they check ID. The waiter checked my sister's ID and found out that she is 21, so he just asked "is everyone 89?" And we're all like YEAAAAA WE AREEEE (even though not everyone is... XDD)
I got a Mint Chocolate Bailey; it was minty and well.. alcohol-y. Pretty good though. Other people got other things, and I posted the pictures on facebook. Well, that's it for this blog... I don't really call this a blog though, just my spam. And no, it's not the meat spam, but like... SPAM spam. XD;;

Annie, my former Manager from McDonalds, came to Toronto to visit, and so we met up one day. I showed her around Toronto, ate at Mannpuku, and went up the CN Tower. That's the summary, at least.
So we walked around Downtown Toronto, which is nothing interesting to talk about... it's mostly scenery, and I really don't remember if anything funny happened. Then we made a pit stop at Mannpuku once again.
If you read my previous blogs, I've mentioned that I went to that restaurant before. This time, I ordered this udon thing, takoyaki, and the milk tea again. Annie ordered Yakiorigini, this other udon... and milk tea. They udon were good, keeping up with the restaurant's reputation, but the yakiorigini is kind of... meh. It's just Origini fried on a pan -- nothing special.

Scarborough Weekend~
This happened quite a while ago, namely March 20, 21. I went to scarborough due to Mike and Vicki's invite to their house. I wasn't the only person being invited though, Kristie and Sarah also went with me. It was quite a while ago, so I don't really remember every little detailed thing that happened, but I do remember eating good food. Mike and Vicki made some good Hot Pot. Yumyum~ There are a lot of food ingredients in the pot -- totally don't know their names though. OH WELL~
After the food, we played Mario Kart for a bit; it was an intense battle between Kristie and Mike. I was pretty behind because I haven't played for at least a year or so. It got pretty heated that there were cursed words flying in the air and stuff. XD;; Mario kart didn't last very long though... we went to Mah Jong soon after.
So um, leaving outa lot of the some details, Mah Jong was fun. Maybe you can figure out a bit more 'details' that I left out through the album I posted on facebook here Good luck. Anyways, back to my story about the weekend...
We slept over at Mike and Vicki's. I slept on the sofa, Mike slept in his room, and the three girls all squeezed on a double bed. Next morning, we went back to Kristie's residence so that Lisa and Kristie (and Sarah) can try to make their Mango Moose Cake for their Iron Chef competition. I was, um... a judge ;D! And you know, a judge's job is to eat the cake and judge it. You can see the picture of the cake on my album because I'm too lazy to post it here.
Yea... I think that's it for this blog. I'll post more blogs, soon. ;D

And I'm back!

After three weeks of torture, I'm finally back at full power to bring you some exciting news that's happening with my life.... just let me catch a week of naps.
JOKES.
That being said, this blog, however, will not actually contain anything about my life, or anything exciting. I am just here to inform all of my fans (if any?!?) that.. Yes, I'm back. And I am bring Sexy Back. *shot*.
Lame jokes aside, I do have a lot of stories and pictures that I'd like to upload, but then my mom read this blog, so LOLOLOL. Maybe. I'll be doing them soon! =D

Rant - $26 = a piece of paper.
Okay, so I talked about my renting crap not long ago, and I mentioned that I was waiting for my criminal record. Well, I got it today.
I thought since I got a criminal record and all, I can give it to them for my job interview if they asked for it(or if I even get an interview), But NOOOOOOOO
On the bottom it HAS to say "NOT FOR EMPLOYMENT USE".
So basically, I got this paper for $26, and I can only use it once. What for? So that I can pay $1,500 to the landlord. WOOHOO!!!!
ARG I hate this crap. Good thing it's over and done with.

Not long ago, I posted an entry titled 'P5 - 'Tis not Persona 5' and I got a comment complaining that I lied about my title because my post has nothing to do with Persona 5. So now it's my fault that I misled you into reading that blog??? Um.. HELLO? DO YOU READ ENGLISH?! Even if you don't know what 'Tis mean, you know at least know NOT PERSONA 5 means it's NOT persona 5. Be thankful you commented as an 'anonymous', or I'd totally track you down for dirtying my holy ground. *makes my blog sounds so important* LOL

Anyways...
Yup! I went to look at houses a while ago, and yet again, made an offer. The reason why I didn't blog about this at all is because there hasn't been a conclusion to this thing. BUT NOW IT HAS!!!
So this condo that I picked is well... one could say it's a single bedroom(with living room, kitchen, and washroom), but at the same time it's actually just one gigantic room. ALL the rooms are connected(including kitchen, but excluding washroom). As in like, there's no doors, no walls between them.

It's $1,500 per month, but it includes EVERYTHING (excluding internet and furniture), so we offered. Two days later the landlord replied, demanding a lot of things from me:
1. Banking record for my mom, which I understand since she's acting as my guarantor/reference. The landlord needs to make sure my mom has good credits and is trustworthy and stuff.
2. A reference letter for my mom. Yes, the landlord is demanding a reference for my reference. REALLY?!
3. Two pieces of ID -- Student ID & A government issued photo ID.
4. A criminal record. Yea, she wants to check if I am a criminal or not. I've been to Toronto for less than a year, in fact, less than half a year. Does she really think that there will be any record on my criminal record? Even IF I committed some kind of a crime, I would be in jail right now; I would not be able to, oh I don't know, look for condos maybe?
5. (This is a condition) She has 5 business days (after getting all the documents) to decide whether or not she wants to rent the place to me.
The landlord also offered to furnished the place for extra $100 in the rent. That's $1200 extra for a bed, a TV(which is too small, so I am not going to use it anyways), a desk, a shelf, and a table. I, of course, Ikea-ed and found out that I can get those things for cheaper. I declined the offer.
My agent said just ignore the criminal record, so I did, and I got everything else and gave it to her in a day. I've waited around 4 business days to finally get a reply. The reply is not even a 'yes' or a 'no'. It's a 'I want the criminal record' reply. Wow, that took you 4 days to decide? Indecisive much. But it's her place, so I can't really do anything (this landlord is asking way too much).
I googled the police station near my residence and found two. I went to the first one(took me 15 minutes) and they said 'You have to go to the headquarters', which is the other one(took me another 15 minutes). There was a pretty long line, so I stood in line for a good 10 minutes or so before my turn. I had to fill out a form, and they told me they'll mail it to me in 5 to 10 business days. I got it anyways, and it costs me $26 bucks. I am already so poor; I can't even afford to eat out, and I am forced to pay $26 bucks on some kind of record? Gee, Thanks a lot.
This happened on a Tuesday, and the contract expires on a Thursday... in two days. Yea, it's all because it takes her FOREVER to reply with a 'yes' or a 'no' instead of 'I want this', 'I want that'. Now the contract's going to expire and there's no way I can get the criminal record in time. I phoned my agent which got in contact with the landlord's agent, and they just amend the criminal record condition, but they also added a new one. That new one basically said
That's that. I'm still waiting for the record, but since I know there's nothing bad on it, I'll get the place for sure. Thus, a conclusion to this mess. I think I'm going to have so much fun dealing with her anal attitude for a whole year. Fun fun. A little rant?? about an 'Unkathleen Friendly Article'.
so my friend sent me this article, which I thought was... pretty unbelievable and funny, but kind of mean.

BEFORE YOU READ THE REST OF MY BLOG -- YOU WON'T GET WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT AT ALL IF YOU DON'T READ THE ARTICLE FIRST(AT LEAST READ THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE). NOTE THAT IT IS UNKATHLEEN FRIENDLY.
There are many reasons why this article is so funny.
1. Why do people even research about this kind of stuff? Instead of researching ugly men VS good looking men. Why not research CANCER and save lives? Sure, go ahead and spend thousands of money research useless crap and publish an article with no scientific proofs to back up the claim.
2. Speaking of good looking men and ugly men, one can't really have a ugly men VS good looking men contest since that classification is totally subjective. People have their own opinion on who's good looking and who's ugly. There are people out there that like short, fat, acne-filled men, at the same time, there are people that dislike tall, muscular, tanned men.
3. No matter how I look at it, I see no connections between how you look and the amount ofwhite substance one produces. I have nothing more to say about this, unless you have something to add to this...
4. They way they present the article -- how they wrote "WOMEN wanting to get pregnant should find themselves an ugly man". REALLY?! So a woman should go up to an 'ugly man' and say "Hi, You're ugly. Let's fuck!" Oh yea, like he's totally going to agree to that... maybe if he's desperate enough and has no dignity, but most are going to refuse and possibly slap the woman. Real rude of her.
Are people actually going to believe this kind of crap? Second thought, stupid people believe in stupid things and that leads to stupid arguments.

Good News everyone~ =D
I think everyone that reads my blog already knows about this, but WHO CARES~ It's always good to announce good news over and over again.
I thought (for the longest time) that I won't be able to go back to Vancouver this summer(2010) because I have summer school all summer long... until I saw the schedule for it. School ends August 13, and finals are from 16~20, which means I am free from 21 till school starts.
That's around 2 weeks, and that's enough time to go back to Vancouver and hang around and stuff before coming back for another year of Torture.
My plane(from Toronto to Vancouver) is August 21 @ 1:00pm. Noon. Toronto Time. I'll get there around 3pm. Soo~~ If you want to come pick me up at the airport~~ *winkwink* LOL
I'm going back with Kristie, Lisa and Mike on September 3 @ 11:15pm. It'll be fun traveling when you're not alone =]

Today marks the start of a newLife! ... Month!
But not really.
I'm still stuck in school, still jobless, still moneyless, still houseless,still friendless. Jokes. XD But like I've mentioned before, I applied at 5 different places, but none seems to want me. Since I'm jobless, that kind of implies that I am also moneyless(no shit). Houseless because the landlord of the condo that I want to rent hasn't given me a reply, yet(Kind of like how all the places I applied). Damn them and their slowness.
In this routined life, there are still stuff to enjoy and look forward to. Like the tales games, pokemon games, the other games, europe trip that I am planning, japan trip that I might go, and other stuff which I will explain/announce when the time comes. XD

Game Review - Eternal Sonata
Yes, I know this game's not that new at all...
I played the Xbox version when it first came out, and I was finally able to play the PS3 version recently, and I have one thing to say. PS3 > Xbox.
I am kind of not happy because when they released the Xbox version, they said it's xbox exclusive, which is stupid because they released a PS3 version not long after... WITH EXTRA CONTENT. The PS3 version has extra dungeons, extra cutscenes, extra playable characters, and more in depth story development. I'll talk about the game first, then get to the version differences in detail.
This game is a RPG game that takes place inside Chopin's dream(yes, that composer) right before his death, and because it takes place inside a composer's head (and given the game title), this game has to do a lot with music. Each character's name, city... other stuff is named after something to do music. Its story is very unique, and what I like about it is that they explained enough story to get what's going on, but also left room for thinking and imagination. Xbox version showed more of the imagination part compared to the PS3 version(from extra cutscenes and in depth story analysis).
Eternal Sonata has the most exciting battle system out of all the RPG games that I've played because as the game progresses, the standard formula of the battle system stays the same, but the details keeps changing bits by bits. On top of that this system features a lot of neat features that makes the battle so exciting. It's a turn based, real time battle system -- featuring Light and Dark elements... it's complicated.
I don't really want to explain too much because I don't want to spoil people(that's why I didn't explain any of the plot at all), so just youtube it or something. XD!

Hanging out with Friends & Lisa's Birthday

Yup, I'm trying to catch up to my blogging, so I am not going to waste time waiting for pictures to upload and stuff. Since facebook uploads the picture so much faster, you can look at the pictures there. I also updated my Artsy picture album. Anyways, on with the blog!!
I met up with Crystal, Melody, Jocelyn and a new friend Annie to go eat lunch together. The food was pretty nice, but it's really nothing special -- just good chinese food, haven't had those in a while. After the good lunch, we went to have some bubble tea~!! We sat and play cards & uno. 'Tis fun. I successfully convinced them to come to Eaton Centre with me because I want to pick up my game (Edgeworth game, will be doing a review on it pretty soon). The deal is that I have to shop with them, which I don't really mind. They went to Zara, and Garage... I believe. We talked, and I got along pretty well with Annie. After the shopping we went back to residence. I said goodbye to them and went out again soon after for Lisa's dinner.
She originally planned her dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, but apparently it was closed. Instead, we went to a Italy? French? Restaurant called Verona. It was a good 'fail'; the food was SOOOO good. I had a hard time deciding what I want to have because everything sounds so delicious.
wow, I think it's my first time using the adjective delicious in this blog even though I talked about food so many times already
I am not a big fan of meat unless it's steak(medium rare), but this restaurant cooks its meat until it's just right. It's not too hard to chew, but it's also fully cooked. The sides are just so wonderful, too. The Risotto is like the BEST risotto I've ever had. I have no problem going back even if it's on the expensive side. It's totally worth its value.
And I had a bit of Lisa's prawns and scallop. OMG MMMMMMM!!!!!! The tiger shrimp is like OM NOM NOM. Yea I don't know how to describe it... it's just so ON NOM NOM-y. The scallop was like BETTER than the ones I had in Guu, and the ones in Guu was above standards already. That's how good it is.
Lisa got her first alcoholic drink because she was legal... or she thought(explain later). It was a Long Island Iced Tea. I tried a sip, it was pretty good. Taste like Iced Tea, like the name suggests, but like Lisa? (or was it Sarah?) said... it was the powdered iced tea. Still not bad, for a drink with all alcohol content.
Lisa got drunk, and she went crazy in the restaurant. Jumping on tables and screaming.. kinda embarrassing...... JOKES!!! Don't get mad Lisa :P~
We had yet another one of Sarah's cake. Mmm!! Good stuff.
Omg, and the service for this restaurant is so good, like beyond expectation. I love this restaurant.
We went for Marble Stab(ice cream place) after the food, and Yum... ice cream. XD!!! This hobo guy came in the store and start asking for money. The SAME hobo guy asked me for money when I was in that store eating ice cream, too. But I am really good at ignoring people and pretending they don't exist, so it didn't really bother me at all. Mmmm ice cream~
Then finally we head for the subway to go home(and here comes the story why Lisa wasn't legal when she was drinking). She was born at around 11pm, but when she drank her drink, it was 8pm. 3 hours too early :P!!!
After I separate with them I headed to Melody's place to play some Mah Jong. I met some people. I didn't stay there for very long though.. came back and started on the Edgeworth game. =]....
This is also the day where I announced that I am bankrupted. FAIL!!!
I'm finding a job though, so hopefully, I'll find one soon.

Kristie's Birthday~
Um... Yea. This thing over there (below), also known as the Inukshuk is sitting right in the middle of the field on my campus. From this view, only the the right leg is destroyed, but in reality... it's much much worse... So there you have it, Destroyed Inukshuk, my new masterpiece... joking.

Anyways, back on topic. This post is about the day I celebrated Kristie's birthday, which is kind of ages ago. We went Karaoke at Bar+ Karaoke. There's not much to talk about since we're just singing one song after another. However, there's one song that intrigue me a lot. It's a song sang by Sarah and Vicki, a cantonese song. The MV(yes, we get real MV's! XD) for that song is so intense, and the lyrics(from reading it since I don't understand cantonese) is like a dialogue of a couple fighting. It's amazing how people can accomplish things like this. So that's karaoke. *inserts a picture of a spinning ball*

We then head to this Japanese Restaurant named Guu. There's a few in Vancouver, but this is the only one in Toronto.

Anyways, the line up was extremely long, and they don't take reservations unless it's over 20 people... so yea, we waited for a good hour or more. Their service was crazy, so that made up for the waiting time. How Crazy?? Well, when we went in every employees literally shouted Welcome(in Japanese), and there's a coat rack for our heavy jackets. Scallop
It's scallop with some really good sauce... I don't know what it is. The scallop is not too chewy, but still chewy -- just like how a scallop should be. I gave this dish a 9/10. Minus one point for being not filling at all because it's $7. =___=
Guava Juice
I also had this Guava Juice. It's nothing special, but it brings back a lot of Taiwan memories. Guava Juice USED to be something I can only drink in Taiwan, and it's like the best juice ever.

Their Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki is not only real tasty, but also very special. They have a hint of wasabi in it. I never had Takoyaki or Okonomiyaki like that, truly special.

This quality of food for this restaurant is really good, but the portions are a big small... so the price is more on the expensive side. I can taste that they use really good quality ingredients, thus the expensive pricing for the dishes.
After eating, we went to a Starbucks so that we can eat the cake that Sarah made, but Starbucks doesn't allow outside food, so I bought myself a hot drink and we left for McDonalds

That's my hot 'iced shaken lemonade'. Yea, I got my usual drinks, Black Tea Lemonade, but they ran out of lemonade, and they also ran out of cold drink cups. That's totally a hot drink, y'know.
Anyways, at McDonald, we at Sarah's cake and went home. The cake was so good, and she made it herself.

Canada's skating team namely Virtue and Moir placed first after today's Ice Dance Original Dance portion. Totally kicking butts!!!!!
Other notable teams are France, Russia, and Great Britain. I can't believe they could pull off crazy-ass moves like those like it was part of their daily routine or something(which I'm sure it was for the past few months. Lol)
Anyways, just updating that CANADA WON!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I don't care if it's only temporary because I believe Canada will win tomorrow, too!!!!
(and it's also relieving news because Canada lost to the states tonight for Hockey)

Game Review - Silent Hill Homecoming
Went to Atsushi's house to FINALLY test my PS3. The reason why I really need to find a way to play my PS3 is because I want to test it. It's not a first hand PS3; it might not work properly or something. There's only one way to test a PS3, to play the PS3. =]
First, I took out my Tales of the Abyss because I really missed that game -- all time favourite =]. I remembered that I don't have my memory card(for PS2)... then I found out even if I had the memory card, it's useless. I need some kind of adapter to transfer my PS2 memory card stuff to PS3, which costs around $20. Right now, I can barely afford a piece of bread, so spending $20 on an adapter is definitely out of the question.
I ended up playing Silent Hill Homecoming: a game which I have been looking forward to.
Before I start talking about the game, I'd just like to say that I'm really scared of horror genre. It doesn't matter if it's movie or game; I'm just so deathly scared of them. I think it's because I played Residence Evil 4 on the gamecube when I was in grade 4. That really scarred me for a long time. I thought I challenge myself into play this game, but it was kind of a disappointment.
I started the game... kinda scared, but I wasn't alone(Atsushi's with me), so it's better. After I got used to the controls(and turning the brightness to max LOL) I started exploring. This is where I get really frustrated and disappointed.
I'm in a room with around 4 doors where 3 of them are locked/jammed. In other words, you can't open it. Why have the doors there if all it's there for is "It's locked", "It's jammed". I understand if there are a few doors that are like that, but when the ratio of openable doors and inoperable doors are like 1:10... something is really wrong.
I didn't played for very long, but the story is kind of annoying, too. I risked my life in the 'Silent Hill' chasing after this boy named Joshua who doesn't even like getting rescued or anything. He seems to like Silent hill a lot... and since all the nurses doesn't seem to attack Joshua(only attacking me), I'd just let him stay in the 'Silent Hill' and leave. The story is stupid. The intro doesn't make sense. Why would the nurse push him(the main character) into this operation room and leave him there when the nurse can just kill him because he's all tied up. Way too many flaws.
I ended up being more frustrated than scared. I spend 10 minutes finding the right door to advance the story line, and the cutscene is like 2 minutes. Then I have to spend another 10 minutes finding the right door to another 2 minutes cutscene. WOW SO FUN!!!
I might change my mind about the game if I play more of the game, but my First Impression of it is really bad(not like scary bad, but like bad bad). I don't really feel like playing more and finding out the rest of the story. What if it still sucks, then I'd be wasting my time...
Why would Konami make the beginning suck so much that people doesn't want to continue playing it anymore...? Good job =__=
I rate this game a 2/10(as of now, but it probably won't change because I don't feel like playing more of it). 1 point for graphic, and 1 point for the 'Silent Hill' series.

Quick Update - Weather Report??
Good evening. My name is Weatherman and I'm here to give you the latest weather forecast.
At the end of February, please expect some Heavy Rain worldwide. Remember to wear your waterproof jackets out -- or should I say liquid-proof. To be even more specific, I meant blood-proof jacket.

Heavy Rain is actually a PS3 game, it's kind of hard to explain.. If you have around 30 minutes to spare, watch the follow two videos. They really explained what Heavy Rain the game is.

Quick Update - Random info
Just thought I'd share it with the world for no particular reasons
1. Gonna head to Eaton Centre soon... if I ever get out of bed. I need to go pick up the edgeworth game which was released today. I wonder if EB games got the games yet...
2. I've also given up waiting for McDonalds to call me, so I'm going to try applying at other places (like Starbucks) because I REALLY need the money. FAIL
3. It's reading week this week, so I have no school, but it seems like I'm busier than usual. Why does these things always happen to me!!!
4. I am just rambling. Really. There's not much point to this blog at all. 'Tis why it's called 'Quick Update'.
5. If you're still reading then wow, you have pretty good patient. I won't test your patient any longer though. Ending this now (unless I think of something more)
6. Yes, I just thought of something else. Anyone know where this song comes from? ため息(Tameiki) by 柴田淳(Jun Shibata). I found it in my iTunes recently; not a bad song... I just don't know where it came from. Is it the OP or ED of some movie/anime/game?? If you know, please tell me =]!!

Year of the Tiger~ RAWR???
On S.A.D. (also known as Single Awareness Day) this year, it was also Lunar New Years, so I gathered with my sister and we had hotpot in Chinatown.
You know when you're in Chinatown when you see things like this...
Oh, the wonders of Chinatown... No more commentary needed.
Before going to hot pot, we stopped by a bookstore. My sister was looking at cookbooks, so I looked around, too. I saw this book called "神奇番茄" which means Magical Tomatoes, but they translated as Wonderful Tomatoes (hence why I've been using a lot of 'wonderful' in my blog). There's this one recipe in that book that teaches you how to make tomato mousse. You know, like chocolate mousse, but instead it's tomato. I thought it was pretty interesting....
After a while, we got to the hot pot place... and what else do we do. We eat =] Unfortunately, I didn't take any picture of the hot pot, but there's really nothing to take. It's just a bunch of raw stuff being cooked in a pot.
My sister's friend has something really interesting in her wallet though.
Yes, it's made from a real $20 bill. What's funny is that the face is on the from of the POLO shirt(it's not even just a T-shirt XD). It's like the face was the design for the polo shirt. Funny stuff.
Anyways, after the food, I went to my sister's place in Mississauga because I wanted to play Beatles Rock Band. My dad bought a lot of little magnet plushies you stick on your fridge not long before, but since I have no fridge I have a reason to shove it all to my sister =] (yes!). I finally see it for the first time when I went to my sister's place. They look interesting I must say. Can't say they're completely useless, but they are pretty useless. Some designs are okay.. (by the way, if you want any of them, contact me.), but the Ladybug one cracked me up. I laugh for a good 2 minutes when I see the ladybug one.

P5 - 'Tis not Persona 5.
I knew about this info a while back, but I was too busy fanning(not the actual fanning...) over it, so I didn't have time to blog about it(voice: excuses).
According to serebii.net, the official pokemon site revealed the images of two fifth generation pokemon. Namely Zoroa and Zoroark. They are due to appear in pokemon's 13th movie. Phantom Champion Zoroark. For the longest time, the movie was named Phantom Champion Z because the names & images of the pokemon wasn't revealed yet.
Either way, so far I like the pokemon design for the fifth gen; a lot better than the fourth gen. But as Jon(my friend) said "there's only 2 though xD", so we'll see how things turn out to be. Hopefully it's wonderful?

Chinese New Years Eve!!

Okay, I lied. It's just this picture with flash on.
I went to Scarborough to celebrate new years eve with Kristie, Lisa and Sarah. We had a wonderful dinner at Sarah's residence -- blasting my music (Sam & Kurt's album -- The Covers).
Sarah sure can cook, and Kristie sure makes good steak! (except I don't have any picture of the steak....). Yup, the dinner was good. And yes, all I did was eat. =]
After dinner, Kristie brought out her 年糕(rice cake)... thing. It's sweet and stuff(dessert). It was good already by itself, but Lisa and Sarah said they always had it with eggs.

We all started with 15 million, I ended up with all the transportations, utilities, and the red blocks(all hotels) and 28 millions. Did I mention I also had Montreal and TAIPEI?!?! =] I'll not go into the details because I don't really remember them either. LOL
Anyways, I'll end this blog with some Artsy Pictures I took during that day.
